The platform

A disciplined buy and build in UK essential services.

We are assembling a nationwide total FM provider from the country's best founder-built essential services businesses, each with its own niche: acquired fairly, integrated carefully and grown deliberately.

Our thesis

Why essential services. Why now.

The market is vast and fragmented. UK B2B essential services, from cleaning and maintenance to waste and power, is a multi-billion-pound sector delivered largely by thousands of regional, founder-owned firms. Scale is rare, quality is unevenly distributed and consolidation has decades left to run.

A generation of owners is retiring. Many of the sector's best businesses were founded in the eighties and nineties. Their owners now face succession, and most would rather see their company grow than be absorbed and dissolved. That is precisely the gap we fill.

Customers want fewer, better suppliers. Occupiers and landlords are consolidating supplier lists and asking for bundled, accountable service across trades. A multi-division group can win and serve contracts that single-trade firms cannot.

The compliance bar keeps rising. Building safety, statutory testing and energy performance demands grow every year. Meeting them takes systems and investment that scale supports and clients increasingly insist on.

Structure

Four divisions. One platform.

Each division is a home for businesses in its discipline, sharing management strength, systems and customers while keeping their own identity. Together they form a single group able to serve a client's entire estate.

Division 01 · Active

Soft Services

Commercial cleaning, security and workplace services. High-frequency, relationship-led work where consistency wins contracts. Anchored by Excell Cleaning Services, London.

Division 02

Hard Services

Mechanical and electrical services, planned and reactive building maintenance, and the statutory compliance work every building must evidence, every year.

Division 03

Environmental Services

Commercial waste collection, recycling and resource management. Route-density economics with rising regulatory and reporting demands that favour scale.

Division 04

Critical Services

Essential services for the built environment and the networks that support it, completing the group's coverage of a client's estate.

The EverGrowth method

Buying well is half the job. The other half is what happens next.

01

Source through relationships

Most of our conversations start directly with owners or their trusted advisers, built on reputation rather than auctions. It means better businesses, better-fitting deals and vendors who choose us back.

02

Underwrite with discipline

Clear criteria, honest diligence and conservative structures. We look hard at contract quality, customer concentration, cash conversion and the strength of the team beneath the owner. When a deal does not meet the bar, we pass.

03

Integrate without breaking things

A first-hundred-days playbook covering people, customers, systems and safety. Stability first, then improvement. The businesses keep their brands and leadership while gaining group finance, procurement and bid support.

04

Grow each business, and the whole

Cross-selling across divisions, group purchasing scale, investment in equipment and people, and a measured pace of bolt-on acquisitions. Every business should be stronger inside the group than it could be alone.

05

Measure what matters

Monthly reporting to an institutional standard: service levels, retention, safety, margins and cash. Good information keeps promises honest, to our people, our clients, our lenders and our investors.

Group shared services

We take the noise out of the business, so your people can do what they do best.

Every business that joins keeps its name, its customers and its way of working. What changes is what sits behind it: a group team and specialist partners chosen for the whole group, giving each business a function it could not afford on its own.

01

Finance and reporting

Month-end, cash, management accounts and the reporting our lenders and investors expect. Owners stop doing the books at the weekend.

02

People

Contracts, policies, TUPE, pay and the awkward conversations. Done properly, once, across the group.

03

Safety and compliance

Audits, accreditations and statutory compliance kept current, so the business is always ready for the next client tender.

04

Technology and data

Secure IT, Cyber Essentials and one group data layer, without ripping out the systems your team already knows.

05

Procurement and insurance

Group buying on materials, vehicles and plant, and one insurance programme instead of a dozen renewals.

06

Bids and growth

Bid support, group accreditations and introductions across the client base, so each business wins work it could not chase alone.

Group partners

Gravita for group finance, Air IT for technology, SML for safety and compliance, PIB for the group insurance programme.

Backed for growth

Founder-led. Institutionally backed.

EverGrowth was founded and initially funded with our own capital. As the platform has grown, we have brought in institutional backing to support that growth, with equity from FourLeaf Capital, the London-based private equity firm led by Managing Partner Robyn Smith. FourLeaf is backed by cornerstone institutional investment, but partners with Operator Investors (seasoned entrepreneurs and operators) on all its deals, in line with the firm’s ethos of entrepreneurs backing entrepreneurs. Our debt partner is OakNorth, the UK bank founded by entrepreneurs, which provides senior debt to ambitious, scaling businesses in the lower mid-market.

For business owners, that means a buyer with institutional backing and a clear account of how each offer is funded. For our partners, it means a founder team with skin in the game, professional governance and reporting you would expect from a far larger group.

We stay founder-led in every way that matters: who you deal with, how decisions are made and the long-term perspective we bring. That is the point of the model. A trade buyer knows your market but folds you into theirs. A fund brings capital but needs a management team ready on day one. We bring the capital and the operators, and we keep your name on the door.
